“ We stopped in at the L&W Restaurant on our way back home to Edmonton from Jasper and found that it is a fabulous reasonably priced restaurant with real nice people. The food was so good and we really liked the unique atmosphere, not just another restaurant style. The 2 young ladies at the order counter were very helpful with the menu and making our order and the food did not take long to wait for and it was so good. Way to go L&W!! AAA+++ ”

“ If you ever order a pizza from here, ask that they substitute the pizza sauce for meat sauce — trust me, you won't be disappointed! Staff is usually friendly however more often than not they are extremely quiet and conversate at the bare minimum. Dining-In here is usually quiet and enjoyable. There are a few busy times throughout the week so if you prefer a slower atmosphere, I suggest first checking in on what times/days they get the most traffic. This restaurant is a order at the counter, seat-yourself style dining experience. They call the number provided on your receipt when your order is up and you go grab it up at the counter. ”

“ We had supper on a Monday about 6 pm. It wasn't very busy. You seat yourself and order at the counter. They bring your drinks to the table, then call your order number for you to pick up. We had a pork souvlaki roll (in a very fresh pita), a small 8" house special pizza and a lasagna with meat sauce. The latter came with a piece of texas toast garlic bread. We had iced tea and water. The service was friendly and professional. The food was very good. We can recommend this restaurant when you're in Hinton. ”

“ Great place. Was a little shocked when they went over a PA system to call us for our order. There were so many choices that it was difficult to make up our minds. Food was delicious and worth it. I would love to go again. ”

“ For a small town, L&W has a wide variety of offerings - pizza, souvlaki, fish & chips, pasta dishes and more. Good value and you won't leave hungry. Lasagna was the favourite because of the large portion, crazy amount of cheese (lactose intolerant beware), and felt very homey. Meat lovers pizza, also great (also lactose intolerant beware). LOOKS like it's just ham but there is more beneath the surface. Fish & Chips looks exactly how it tastes though. Cozy ambiance. Order at the counter, pick your seat, and wait for your number to be called. Nice view of the sunset too. ”

“ This place is amazing value! Their daily special was great, we got the club hour and hot beef sandwich. It came with soup and choice of sides. The poutine and fries here were great. Just amazing value! Our whole meal was $25 for 2 people ”

“ Having been to the L&W in Jasper, I thought I would stop in. I ordered the Pork Souvlaki Platter. The value is excellent. Great quality ingredients, food prepared well. Most people will want to share this. The portion was huge. Unfortunately I was too full to finish. $18.95 was a good deal for this meal. Want soft drinks? Bottle, can or fountain. Up to you. Not so much a fan of the order calling, no table service.. but honestly, aside from the odd cringe from orders being called loudly, the experience was positive. ”

“ I went to L&W this past Sunday with a good friend for lunch, and had an incredibly delicious lasagna with meat sauce! I've been coming to L&W my whole life, and the lasagna with meat sauce has always been my go-to dish. It tastes exactly the same as I always remember. Delicious, cheesy, meaty perfection. The restaurant was particularly quiet, and the service was great! Can't go wrong with a lunch stop at L&W! I look forward to returning soon. ”

“ We came to Hinton to visit family. We had been told about this restaurant from friends who used to live here. After checking the reviews, we knew we had to try the lasagna. My brother (a long time Hinton resident), also said this was his go to spot. The 3 of us went for dinner and all had the lasagna with garlic toast. We all agreed that this lasagna was awesome. Generous portions, fresh out of the oven, lots of sauce and cheese. This is a good size family style restaurant where you order at the counter and pick up your food when they call your number. They have servers to bring drinks. I highly recommend this place. ”
